Rés of The Day

I wish I were a struggling musician who hops from studio to studio offering his demo tape.

I wish I were a dreaming writer who sends out hundreds if not thousands of scripts to publishers hoping to be recognized.

I wish I were a lousy actor who stands in line from one audition to another expecting to be casted as one of the extras.

I wish I were a mad scientist who stays up late night after night just to achieve a little bubbling reaction in the stack of his chemical tubes.

I wish I were a magician whose tricks keep getting uncovered by a bunch of smart audiences.

I wish I were a street kid wandering around one intersection to another just to find a little place to stay tonight.

I wish I were a pilot who crashed his plane and got badly injured that he had to stay in bed for the next 3 years but as soon as he recovered he got back on the plane again.

I just wish I were someone else so I can see myself from outside just to witness how plain life can be.

But I guess I'll just have to live this ordinary life until God knows when..

*sigh*
