Life, Love, Pain
I really got to share this, a line from this shrink character on "Brothers and Sisters" last Sunday when he talked to Sarah (Rachel Griffith):
"... There are no shortcuts in life, or in love. The pain must be felt, the alternative is much worse. It's what makes it special, what makes it beautiful, what makes it worthy: the pain of how we love. Not that pain is company but something else: hope. With your pain there is hope. And that's where you are. Somewhere between the agony, optimism, and prayer. So, you're human. You're alive. And that's what we have... "
It just got me breathless. It's so deep, beautiful, and God knows, true...
