Little Miss Sunshine

Go see it. It could well be the best movie you'd ever see in your entire life.

Thank God, Devotchka

The band is Devotchka. I think I heard one of their songs on the trailer for "Everything is Illuminated" (which I have never got the chance to watch, yet). And last weekend, I heard them again, this time in, arguably, this year's best movie yet, "Little Miss Sunshine."

The song is "How it Ends." It could probably well be my year's favorite song to date. I'm still looking for their albums (though I have ordered the OST for "Little Miss Sunshine" which also includes my other big favorite, Sufjan Stevens)

Here's the lyric:

Hold your grandmother’s bible to your breast
Gonna put it to the test
You wanted it to be blessed
And in your heart
You know it to be true
You know what you gotta do
They all depend on you

And you already know
Yet you already know
How this will end

There is no escape
From the slave catcher’s songs
For all of the loved ones gone
Forever’s not so long
And in your soul
They poked a million holes
But you never let them show
Come on its time to go

And you already know
Yet you already know
How this will end

Now you’ve seen his face
And you know that there’s a place in the sun
For all that you’ve done
For you and your children
No longer shall you need
You always wanted to believe
Just ask and you’ll receive
Beyond your wildest dreams

And you already know
Yet you already know
How this will end

You already know (You already know)
You already know (You already know)
You already know How this will end

Calista Flockhart in "Brothers and Sisters"

    YAY!
I've been missing her so much since her epic Ally McBeal (which I never get to watch the final episode.. or even the final season for that matter). Now she's back with the latest fall premier of ABC's "Brothers and Sisters" (alongside Kathy Griffiths of "Six Feet Under" 's Brenda Chenowith).

The story sounds like a little serious, with a political background of a Californian republican family (complete synopsys here).

Anyway, don't miss it, premiered on ABC, September 22nd, 2006.

Keith and Allison were Out in One Night?

Two nights ago I spent out the whole episodes of Project Runway that i have TiVo-ed during my trip to Indonesia (total 3 episodes). It was such a big shock to me to see Keith had to leave due to technical issue (non-conformign with the rule). He is my number one favorite contestant for this season. You can tell that he is very talented, and well.. I like his cocky and arrogant personality. It was so unbelievable to see him leaving like that..

And then for the next episode, Allison had to leave. She is the sweetest and next most talented after Keith. She is like.. so sweet and gentle and very considerate. I know that her design was a little off but, what about Steven? Steven's is much worse! And damn it I was burst in tears when Allison was trying to wipe the tears off her eyes.. *sigh*
